Kuolemantanssi (Piano: Dimo Dimov)

about

"This is a piano improvisation by Dimo Dimov (Miel Noir, Svarrogh) on early Allerseelen recordings. Kuolemantanssi (Dance of Death) is one of three piano compositions that were recorded a couple of years ago. Only one of them was published before - as last track on the Allerseelen CD Rauhe Schale it was named Schlussbild (Final Picture), referring to the final stage design in a theatre or opera house. The Dance of Death is an important Mediaeval motive in many churches and cemeteries. This particular recording was inspired by a Kuolemantanssi in a church in Inkoo, Finland that I visited in December 2012 after an Allerseelen concert in Tampere. The photo shows Dimo Dimov backstage in Turku, Finland in October 2007 with some Bulgarian percussion instruments before two legendary concerts of Allerseelen and Svarrogh in this magical country."
