"Inside Klangkapsel / Sound Capsule 033 you will encounter again one of the favourite flowers of Allerseelen, the beautiful Edelweiss. There are two different Allerseelen songs named Edelweiss, and of both exist various versions. And there is a powerful remix that was recorded for Allerseelen by Ianva, a well-known music group from Genova, Italia. For remixes, the group uses the name Ianva Divisione Archeomeccanica. Ianva explained the background of their song: Their Edelweiss hymn is a kind of answer to the Austrian Allerseelen recording. It is inspired by the Alpi Marittime that rise from the sea very close to Genova. In the area between Monte Saccarello and Monte Bego, the people speak brigasco, a special Ligurian dialect with influences from Occitania. The Ianva musicians asked Gregorio Bardini to play for this recording a flute of the shepherds of the Lingua Brigasca area. This added a unique aura to the whole track. The lyrics are inspired by a document with words of an old man recalling in brigasco his beloved mountain area with its pure air and water and its freedom: "We had those things that you call freedom. It was like we had wings. At night, in my dreams, I am still up there in the mountains, running free. Up there, the eagle still flies free." The Allerseelen song used as starting point for this special version was published on the DoLP Neuschwabenland and later in another version with vocals by AimA on the 7" Edelweiss / Tjo tjo tjo di ri, The Ianva Divisione Archeomeccanica remix appeared exclusively on another Allerseelen DoLP - Stirb und Werde. Ianva and Allerseelen performed several times together in various festivals. Gerhard Hallstatt also recorded some spoken words in German for the Ianva song Edelweiss on their CD La Mano di Gloria."
