"Klangkapsel / Sound Capsule 031 is a haiku song by Allerseelen named Unzufriedener Rabe (Dissatisfied Raven). It is the fifth in a cycle of haiku songs that, when finished, will be released as a proper release. Ravens have played in the past an essential role in various recordings by Allerseelen. An entire early cassette and later CD release was called Schwartzer Rab (Black Raven). The main inspiration was its significance in alchemy, mythology and shamanism, but also in Dark Romanticism. Inside a small Austrian wood, full of ferns, ivy and moss, close to a small dark lake, I had noticed a raven. For some reason I had the impression that it felt dissatisfied. But this was probably just my own imagination: The raven had become a kind of black mirror that reflected my own emotions and thoughts, a certain discontent and melancholy inside my own psyche. The raven seemed to search or to wait for something - in vain. The lyrics of this song have the form of a Japanese haiku - five syllables, seven syllables, five syllables. Thus they are even more minimal than many other Allerseelen lyrics. Haikus are a microcosm. they are stills from a movie named reality, single frames of a small detail or short moment that exists only for a couple of seconds. Others would not even notice it or consider worth mentioning it. But a haiku poetess or poet, having fallen in love with it, turns in the seventeen syllables of a haiku this small or hidden or even invisible detail or moment into something timeless, eternal, immortal."
